A repeat walk around the Knepp Castle Estate as requested after our visit last autumn.  We’ll be taking a different route around the estate to see the Longhorn cattle, deer and wild pigs.  The walk will be in the afternoon and we’ll eat at the Countryman Inn , Shipley either before or after.

Scotney Castle is an English country house with formal gardens south-east of Lamberhurst in the valley of the River Bewl.  The gardens, which are a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a celebrated example of the Picturesque style, there are also some lovely walks around the estate. This is a great opportunity to whisk out your Volunteer card, either for entry use and or getting your discount on tea and cake!  If you fancy joining for a day out in the lovely Kent countryside, please contact Anne for more details.

Melanie is organising a trip to the Sussex Prairie Gardens in Henfield on Saturday 7 September. We’ll be meeting at 2pm to walk around these stunning and unusual gardens and round off the visit with Afternoon Tea.
